A flower hike to the Col de Néal

A hiking group went on a flower excursion as part of a traditional climbing weekend over Ascension Day. Near the Cod d’Izard we find a perfect tour and an incredible sea of flowers. On the border between the Durance and the Queyras Regional Nature Park, this hike allowed us to discover an authentic place in the Hautes Alpes. The lake of Néal, little known to hikers, is worth a detour, with its emerald green water lined with small white flowers. A magnificent view of the Écrins rewarded the last efforts on the Néal Pass. Enthusiastic about this change and enriched by many technical discussions, we returned to our climbing colleagues.
