My alpine tours are aimed at hiking enthusiasts who want to cross the mountains off the beaten track. These tours lead through remote areas and along mountain paths, some of which run through unmarked terrain. Signposts are few and far between here. Markings, if present at all, are mostly limited to isolated cairns.

Requirements for alpine T4 hikes

Alpine T4 hikes require a high degree of surefootedness and alpine experience. The routes are often off the beaten track, sometimes require the use of your hands and lead through exposed terrain with grassy slopes, crags, firn fields and glacier passages. Markings are usually white-blue-white. Careful preparation, good orientation skills and appropriate equipment, especially for firn and glacier passages, are essential for a safe hiking experience.
