Saturday 04.01.25From the parking lot in Bourg-Saint-Bernard, we follow the road that leads up to the pass and the Great Saint Bernard Hospice. From Le Tronchet, head in a south-easterly direction to the Combe de Barasson. The final slope to the Ostsattel is a little steeper. Otherwise no technical difficulties. Excellent views at the top on the Italian, French and Swiss sides.
This is followed by a descent of approx. 400 m back and the ascent to Gr St Bernard. There we will spend the night in the legendary hospice with the monks. https://gsbernard.com/fr/ Sonntag 0.01.2025

This is followed by the first ascent to the Fenêtre d’en Hauten. The descent continues over a gentle slope to the plateau of the Lacs de Fenêtre. From there, the ascent to the actual destination for the day, Col du Bastillon, begins. It offers a beautiful view of the Mont Blanc massif, the Grand Combin and Mont Vélan.
From the Col du Bastillon, we follow the Combe du Drône to De Bourg-St-Bernard. This beautiful route first leads over the hilly and broad plateau of the Plat de la Lé, then through the central part of the Combe de Drône and the mountain pasture and chalets of La Pierre.
